At ICLM there are different categories of membership and they are as follows:
This grade of membership is only by the invitation of the Board, as a mark of high honour on persons who are widely recognized as individuals of high integrity that could be seen as role models with unparallel contributions to the growth of the various segments of the society. The institute’s Grand Fellow is the highest award conferred by the Management Board.
Applicants must have an MBA/MA/M.Sc or PhD and a minimum of 10 years core work experience in leadership, Entrepreneurship, Business Administration/Management, Mentorship, Learning and Development, Above all, applicants to this category must be individuals who have done extensive research in the area of his/her profession. Additionally, such a person must have written and published not less than three books in his area of proficiency. Duly inducted individual can use Dr. before his/her name and FCLMI after their names.
ICLM Distinguished Fellowship is awarded to individuals who are lettered and have occupied high profile managerial positions in government, religious, community or the private sector in the capacity as Commissioner, Permanent Secretary, Director, Business Executive, Church Leader or Traditional Ruler, who, through his/her managerial competency/leadership prowess has impacted the society positively and is seen to have contributed immensely to the development of the system. It is a mark of high honour on such personalities by the Management Board.
ICLM Fellowships are awarded to outstanding persons of remarkable achievement and competence in top Leadership and Management positions. The academic qualifications attached to this category of members are: HND, B.Sc/BA; M.Sc/MA; Ph.D or a most successful entrepreneur/business manager.
This category of Fellowship is awarded to distinguished mentors (University Lecturers, School Principals, Proprietors or Educational Administrators) who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, expertise, and dedication to mentoring. Applicants must be graduates at HND, B.Sc/BA; M.Sc/MA; Ph.D or equivalents with professional qualifications and fulfilment of relevant experiences of not less than 15 years.
The full membership status of ICLM can also be attained by recommendation from an organization or employer. To be qualified as a member, a person must be within the age bracket of 25-30 years or above, and must possess the following academic qualifications: HND; B.Sc/BA and must have attained the cadre of a middle level manager or its equivalent, with at least five years practice.
An Associate membership status of the institute is for an individual who is a new employee, or someone engaged in vocational trainings. Undergraduate/fresh graduate of any tertiary institution or an aspiring leader/entrepreneur are also potential members in this category. Their progression to other categories of membership in the Institute is through regular participation in the various stages of the Leadership Refresher Programmes (LRP) of the Institute.
The Graduate status of ICLM is conferred on individuals, who are non-registered members of the Institute, but have passed through various professional courses of the Institute. By their identification with the Institute, they are also designated as ‘Ambassadors’ of our Institute. Their membership status is confirmed when they are duly inducted into any category of membership of the Institute.
Membership of ICLM is obtained through invitation and recommendation based on qualification and work experience. All category of membership must pass through induction in any of our conferences. Our eligible inductees are: Managing Directors/CEOs, Political Office holders, all categories of Public Servants (Administrative Managers/HODs, Administrative Officers/Directors of Administration), General Managers, Church Leaders and Administrators, Traditional Rulers, University Dons, Heads of Educational Institutions/Teachers, Heads of NGO, Young Entrepreneurs, and Fresh Graduates, etc.
